EDItX Digital Sales Report v1.0 On February 11, 2003 the OeBF Business SIG unanimously approved the EDItX Digital Sales Report 1.0 specification as an Informational Document to be submitted to the Board of Directors for review.
The Digital Sales
Reporting specification was created in a consortium between Editeur, BISG (US)
and BIC (UK). The document specifies an EDItX XML format for reporting sales
of eBooks. It
is intended to be used by a retailer, distributor or other intermediary in the
ebook supply chain to report sales to a publisher or content owner.
A large number of OeBF member companies
participated in the development of the specification and
have
already
implemented it or plan to
implement
it
in the near future. It
was the Business SIG's opinion that the OeBF, being
the
leading source of
eBook standards, should voice
public support for this constructive effort by
approving it as an
Informational Document .
The Board of Directors approved the document
as an Informational Document on 04/07/2003.
