IDPF Announces Speakers for Digital Book 2011, May 23-24th NYC

New York, NY, April 27, 2011 –The International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) announced today the complete program with speakers for the upcoming Digital Book 2011 conference at BookExpo America (idpf.org/digitalbook2011). The program includes a special keynote from multiple Hugo and Nebula award-winning best-selling science-fiction authors Neal Stephenson and Greg Bear, who will discuss their experience with The Mongoliad, a ground-breaking project in direct-to-consumer and community-augmented online serial publishing.

Presentations and workshops will be led by industry executives from bookselling and book publishing leaders such as Barnes and Noble, Google, Harlequin, Kobo Books, Random House, and Cengage; key vendors including Ingram, OverDrive, and Baker&Taylor; and buzzed-about startups such as 24 Symbols and Autography. Other featured speakers include EPUB expert Liza Daly (Threepress), Richard Nash (Cursor / Red Lemonade, formerly of Soft Skull Press), Peter Brantley (Internet Archive), Bob Young (CEO, Lulu.com and co-founder, Red Hat), and Yoshinobu Noma (CEO, Kodansha, Japan’s largest publisher).

The conference, held in partnership with BookExpo America (BEA), will be held May 23-24, 2011, in New York City’s Javits Center. IDPF Digital Book is the longest-established executive and professional conference focused on digital publishing and has been a sold-out event for three years running.
