Markus Gylling Appointed CTO of IDPF
Seattle, Washington and Stockholm, Sweden, September 21, 2011 The International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) today announced that Markus Gylling has been appointed its Chief Technical Officer. Gylling has been seconded to the IDPF via the DAISY Consortium, and will continue to serve in parallel as CTO of DAISY.
With over 10 years experience in standards development, Mr. Gylling has a strong track record of leadership and innovation with open standards and supporting software tools including DAISY DTBook and the DAISY Pipeline. He most recently has served as Chair of the IDPF EPUB® 3 Working Group. Reporting to the IDPF Executive Director, Gylling will drive IDPF's technical development agenda in advancing EPUB, the global standard interchange and delivery format for eBook and other digital publications. Mr. Gylling will remain based in Stockholm, Sweden giving the IDPF a base of operations in Europe to complement its headquarters in North America.
