Japanese Government Sponsored Digitization Project Adopts EPUB 3

Under the auspices of the recently formed Pubridge, aka DPIJ (Digital Publishing Initiative Japan Co, Ltd. - http://www.pubridge.jp/), the Kindigi (Urgent Content Digitization Project) has received 1B Yen ($12.5M) in funding from the Japanese government. On July 27 2012 it was announced that EPUB 3 will be supported by this initiative.
