Candidate Statement - Anthony De Luna

Nomination for IDPF Board of Directors, November 2011 election

Anthony De Luna – Flipside Digital Content
Nomination statement
I would be honored to serve on the IDPF Board and pledge to work tirelessly to help propel the Forum's six overall goals, specific WG charters and any/all initiatives. My contributions to the Board will be based on 21 years of production, technical and executive experience in electronic publishing. After becoming a publisher of Southeast Asian e-books this year, my participation on the Board will have the unique vantage point of operating from a developing country, both as a service provider for the production of leading-edge, fixed layout and enhanced  ePUB e-books for Western publishers, and as publisher of Asian content. My election to the Board will also mean representation from the growth region of Southeast Asia.
Brief bio
Anthony entered global electronic publishing services in 1990 when he joined Innodata Corp. (now Innodata-Isogen), where he spent seven years helping the company grow its indexing/abstracting, imaging, and electronic publishing services business units as a Director. He also served as VP for Technology of Electronic Publishing Ventures, Inc., B&N's (very early) e-book production operation and became the company's President after its acquisition by the CPI Group. Anthony is founder and CEO of Flipside Digital Content, a provider of premium ePUB creation services to publishers in the US and UK, and silently responsible for many high-profile (NDA-covered) standard, enhanced and fixed layout e-book titles. Flipside also publishes its own Asian e-books on the top three retail platforms.
