There are two options:
- you can use the SDK without being a "contributor" but the SDK is then licensed under the GPL, so you must make YOUR code open source as well
- you can make a significant contribution to the project (a specified amount of development time and/or monetary contribution) in which case the SDK is licensed under the BSD and you do NOT have to make your code open source.
